Inspired by Rachel Joyce, Author of The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry
Over 20 years ago, I chose to "repent" and left the banking sector to become a guardian and protector of end clients. Since then, I have invested a significant portion of my savings into innovating the banking industry and developing solutions. However, more needs to be done at both individual and community levels.
I recognize that this is a long-term effort, but I am determined to make a positive impact. My quest to make a difference in the banking sector has focused on two main areas: empowering individuals to regain control over their financial matters and fostering a more responsible and ethical community that holds bankers accountable.
To succeed, I decided to stay true to the feeling that inspired me to leave a well-paid director position in the first place. It does not matter that others are working to fix society's problems in different ways; in fact, this is a good thing. I will continue to use a pen, checklists, Excel, and a notebook, even though there are faster apps available. It does not matter that my laptop and iPhone are older models or that I have not raised money for a business plan yet.
My vision is to safeguard and protect the wealth of accomplished individuals and families while promoting financial freedom for all through the Private Wealth & Family Office, a Swiss Certified Association offering Members' Benefits and granting Swiss Certified Designations.
I am not disciplined and have different goals leading to my mission, taking various roads to reach my vision, influenced by the people who connect with me. This frustrates my son, a very successful businessman who is very focused.
My appearance is of lesser importance, but I do try to dress smartly for office meetings, often wearing a tie and a suit or coat suit. Despite wear and tear, I prefer used shirts to the dozens of new ones I have.
This phase of my "do-good" activity became my main purpose when I experienced a tragedy in my life. Since then, I have withdrawn and found refuge in this campaign. Becoming estranged from material things has allowed me to learn from others and stay true to my instincts, embracing my uniqueness rather than trying to be someone else.
I have now completed the book "The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry" and do plan to watch the movie. Like Harold Fry, I will continue to plod along, whether I gain new followers, subscribers, or interns or not. I will stay true to the vision of helping as many people as possible achieve financial freedom and protect their hard-earned wealth.
Together, we can create a brighter future for the world of banking and wealth management.
